Rick Scaletty is an attorney in private practice, with a lovely wife and the father of two beautiful girls. He likes the blues, BBQ, wine, cooking, camping, backpacking, playing guitar and photography. He loves to dive and wants to share his passion with others. He believes that understanding the diversity of life on a reef can help teach people to live in harmony. Rick would most like to sit down with Jesus to share a bottle of wine. He would like to get his perspective of our modern world.

 


 

Ana Martin has been diving since 1972. She owned and operated a scuba diving business for almost 10 years in Maui, Hawaii, serving as an instructor and USCG captain. She is a manager at a Wells Fargo branch in Olympia, WA. Ana takes care of expedition logistics and financials for Imaging Foundation. Children are our future. She would love to share her love of diving and the underwater world with the generations to come. Ana would like to share a happy hour with Jimmy Buffett. "I love his spirit, his songs, his books. The vagabond in me comes out when thinking about him. 'It’s 5 o’clock somewhere'."

 

 

Dave Walker lives with his wife Jackie in Laguna Beach, California. He first strapped a scuba tank on his back at age 14. Dave retired from teaching as a middle school shop teacher and briefly taught basic photography class to kids. His passion is the sea and he loves all contact with the water including: surfing, sailing, diving, and swimming.Other activities that he is enjoying while in retirement include bicycling, snow skiing and traveling with his wife. Dave joined this expedition to see if he could help make a difference to preserve and protect the green turtle and its habitat. If he had a choice, Dave would enjoy sitting down and having beer and chat with Warren Buffet.

 

Jackie Walker resides in Laguna Beach, California with her husband Dave.She is recently retired from the medical field. Jackie enjoys traveling, computers, skiing, biking, yoga, reading and gardening. She was recently certified as an Open Water Diver and enjoys snorkeling, scuba, and photography. She hopes her photography and website skills will be helpful in advancing the goals of the Cayman Island project. Jackie would like a glass of wine and chat with Emeril, Samantha Brown and her departed cat Missy.

 

Dave Metzloff lives in Atlanta, GA and has been diving for about 8 years. He feels that diving is a great sport because it allows one to travel to fantastic places to experience the best dive spots and different cultures. He enjoys travelling, playing golf, wine tastings, cooking, home remodeling and work. He joined the expedition to dive with serious divers, learn about underwater photography and complete Nitrox certification. Dave would like to share a bottle of wine with his Grandfather. "He was a positive influence growing up and I would like to 'chat' with him now that I am older."

 

Ace Goerig has been married for 37 years and has four daughters and one son. He enjoys scuba diving, traveling, teaching and writing. In 2004 Ace wrote a book to help others find economic and personal freedom. He has been a dentist for 35 years spending the first 20 years in the United States Army. After retiring in 1991, Ace set up a private practice in Olympia, Washington. He works 2 to 3 days a week in the office and spends the other time mentoring other dentists on how to be more profitable and have more fun in their practice. Ace would like to share a conversation with Mahatmas Gandhi: "It would be great to learn from someone who truly knew and lived with inner peace. "

 

Jennifer Schilling is from Chicago, the windy city! She is a Chicago Police Officer and an Entrepreneur in small business back home. When not diving, she is working! She knows, that’s blah-blah-blah, but it enables her to go diving several times a year! Jennifer came on this trip to meet new people and to try the “vacation with a purpose” to see if it suited her. She would like to chat with Donald Trump! "I think he could give me a few pointers on business! Since I’m new to the business world, ANY help I can get would be worthwhile!"

 

Judy Schmidt has lived in Atlanta, Georgia since 1996 and works as a Public Health Educator in the National Immunization Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Before she came to Atlanta, she lived in Sacramento California and worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Outreach Educator for the Sutter Health system. Judy grew up in the suburbs of Denver, CO, and likes to snow ski and used to enjoy intramural racing. Now she just cruises on skis when she has the chance. When not diving, Judy enjoys hiking, walking, reading, traveling, working in her large yard, and visiting with friends and family. Judy wanted to dive in Grand Cayman as she has not been to the island to visit or to dive. "I saw that there was an opportunity to make a difference while enjoying diving, meeting new people, and learning new skills. "I saw the advertisement for IF, went to the website, and liked the idea of helping to teach students and support the mission of IF."
Judy would like to share drinks and conversation with someone who likes to talk about ideas, philosophies, and places they’ve been.

 

Julio Ramos is a 66 year old doctor who spends his week seated taking care of eye problems of other people. When not diving he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. Julio has been interested in diving since 1997. He uses image processing in his work and enjoys photography. When he found an Internet description of the goals of this trip he thought it fit perfectly. Julio would like to enjoy drinks and conversation with all of the expedition members, but at a slower pace please!

 

 


Judy Bennett is a recently retired medical technologist from New Orleans. She has been working with the Imaging Foundation since the summer of 2005. Judy's duties have grown, as she now constructs web pages and sees to the Quality Control of the IF website. When not involved with IF duties, Judy spends her time rebuilding her home in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. She has managed to indulge her love of diving, travel, and photography in spite of recent events in her home town. Judy would love to share drinks with those who can make her laugh - the best medicine in the world.

 

John Monk came to the Cayman Classroom expedition to learn about the underwater ecosystems surrounding the island and to help Imaging Foundation develop a comprehensive plan to make their professional images available to other non profit organizations to promote a better public understanding of the beauty and value of the undersea world. John loves tasting and comparing various wines from Washington. He's always willing to share a bottle and his expertise.

 

Steve Clermont lives in Marietta, Georgia and is a partner in a management consulting firm called Ceccone-Clermont International. He enjoys skiing, hiking and traveling. Steve recently earned his private pilot license and enjoys flying as often as possible. He was intrigued with the mission of the foundation and wanted to learn more about it. Oceans and marine life are the last great frontier and there is a need to create awareness to protect this fragile environment. Steve would like to sit down with Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, and Winston Churchill….people who have lived through adversity and met the challenges of their time.
