Sulawesi Mission Accomplished |
|
Salamat Pagi...
Sulawesi was fantastic. We were able to collect rare animal interactions with the high definition camera, launch our internship program, and we still had lots of time to enjoy the diving.
We had a great team of volunteers and a few guest appearances. Brent Anderson, Executive Director of the Living Planet Aquarium, spoke about his aquarium and plans for expanding educational program. Phil Coles joined us and discussed his experience producing hundreds of documentaries for National Geographic, Animal Planet BBC and many more.

Stan Waterman: "Sea Salt, Memories & Essays" |
|
Chapter Describes Expedition with IF Founders
"My most memorable shark encounter ever!" proclaims Stan Waterman. "Jay Ireland and Georgienne Bradley were documenting the action. For them, the wild occasion was a rare and wonderful windfall. Sharks galore! Sharks in every sector! Sharks nearly colliding with us! I let the tape run. In such a once in a lifetime experience, you don't conserve the ammunition!"
"Sea Salt" 2006
Stan Waterman
Member IF Board of Advisors
Readers will want to pay special attention to the chapter entitled "Bait Ball" in Part II where Stan, "The Man Who Loves Sharks", describes what he calls his most memorable shark encounter ever! Of course he was with IF founders, Jay Ireland and Georgienne Bradley. Buy the book and then join your own expedition.
